Dr. Mohammed Sharaf, Vice President of An-Najah National University for Innovation and Artificial Intelligence, Participates in the Arab-Global Academic Cooperation Meeting on Green Jobs in Tunisia.

Dr. Mohammed Sharaf, Vice President of An-Najah National University for Innovation and Artificial Intelligence, participated in the "Arab-Global Academic Cooperation Meeting on Green Jobs", organized by the Department of Science and Scientific Research at the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) on May 13, 2025. The event was held under the patronage of the Director-General of ALECSO, His Excellency Professor Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, at ALECSO headquarters in Tunis, Tunisia.
This meeting was held as part of ALECSO's efforts to support the transition towards a green economy in the Arab world, particularly in the tourism sector. This is achieved by strengthening partnerships among Arab academic institutions, exchanging experiences, and building capacities in ecotourism and sustainable green jobs.
Dr. Sharaf represented Palestine at this prominent academic event. He presented An-Najah National University's vision for integrating AI technologies and digital transformation to enhance sustainability and create innovative green job opportunities in smart tourism, organic agriculture, and renewable energy. He emphasized the importance of investing in human capital through innovation-driven education and training.
The meeting saw the attendance of ambassadors from several Arab countries and representatives from universities and institutes from Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Palestine, Libya, Egypt, and Mauritania, alongside a delegation from the Institute of Tourism Studies in Malta. The meeting's agenda included specialized scientific sessions that discussed mechanisms for developing green skills and exchanging experiences in sustainable education. The event concluded with a set of recommendations aimed at supporting policies and initiatives to foster the green economy in the Arab world.
