An-Najah National University Welcomes a Delegation from Boulder as Part of the Twinning Program with Nablus City.

On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, An-Najah National University welcomed an American delegation from Boulder, Colorado, as part of the twinning program between Nablus City and Boulder. This program aims to foster cultural and community relations and facilitate the exchange of expertise between the two cities. The delegation was headed by Ms. Esrea Shireen, President of the Boulder-Nablus Sister City Project, and included several influential figures from diverse fields, including higher education, literature and politics, arts, emergency medical services, trade unions, and community work. This diverse representation reflects the wide range of interests and areas connecting the Palestinian and American communities.

The delegation was received by: Mr. Raed Al-Deb'i, Assistant to the University President for Community Affairs; Dr. Hassan Ayoub, from the Faculty of Law and Political Science; Mr. Alaa Abu Dheir, Director of the University's Community Service Center; and Ms. Samar Abu Moghli from the Office of the Vice President for Partnerships and Global Initiatives.

The visit began with an introductory meeting at the An-Najah Innovation Park on the Old Campus, where a short film highlighted the University's history, its educational and community mission, and its key academic and research achievements. Prospects for joint cooperation in areas of mutual interest were also discussed, particularly those related to community service, cultural exchange, and academic support.

During the meeting, the delegation was briefed on the political and economic conditions in Palestine and the challenges facing the higher education sector amidst current circumstances. A detailed explanation was also provided regarding the TESI initiative launched by the University to empower students in the Gaza Strip, which aims to sustainably support their right to education.

The delegation concluded its visit with a field tour of the New Campus, including several faculties and scientific centers. The visitors expressed their admiration for the advanced level the University has achieved, emphasizing the importance of sustaining such humanitarian and scientific partnerships that enhance understanding and cooperation between peoples.
