An-Najah National University Holds Its First International IELTS Exam Session at An-Najah Innovation Park

An-Najah National University held its first international IELTS exam session at An-Najah Innovation Park on April 30, 2025, pursuant to the cooperation agreement signed with the British Council. The exam was conducted electronically in accordance with approved international standards and included three main stages: Writing, Listening, and Reading.
The Innovation Park staff, led by Dr. Mohammed Sabah, Director of the Continuing Education Center, and Ms. Fida Bashkar, oversaw the preparation of the exam hall and ensured the provision of all necessary technical and logistical requirements to guarantee the session's high quality and adherence to global standards.
A group of volunteers selected by the British Council supervised the exam proceedings, while a delegation from the Council, represented by Ms. Roza Al-Helou, attended to monitor the exam's progress and ensure compliance with approved procedures.
The organization of this session aims to facilitate access for students in the northern West Bank, and university students in particular, given the imposed restrictions and difficulties of movement between Palestinian cities due to military checkpoints. This contributes to bridging the educational gap and expanding students' opportunities to access international education.
In a strategic move, an official An-Najah University account has been created on the IELTS platform to verify the authenticity and validity of student certificates, which will enhance the university's credibility and streamline the academic authentication process in the future.
The IELTS exam is a fundamental requirement for admission to many international universities, especially for postgraduate programs, and is a globally recognized standard for assessing English language proficiency.
