Chemical Engineering Society and NVAR Center Organize Lecture by Using VR

The Chemical Engineering Society and NVAR Center at An-Najah National University hosted a lecture on virtual reality in chemical engineering on February 18, 2025. The event, held at the Scientific Centers Building, supported the University’s goals of quality education and sustainability. It was inaugurated by Eng. Waleed Abuzaina, Mr. Anan Al-Nasser, Lama Abuhantash, and other students. Mr. Al-Nasser stressed the value of training and simulation in keeping up with technology and enhancing student learning, noting the Deanship’s support for over 30 active student societies In addition, the Student leader Abuhantash proposed that the event aimed to introduce early-year students to chemical engineering through virtual reality. She noted the positive feedback, with students enjoying the interactive experience and finding it helpful in understanding key concepts. Abuhantash said, "As president, I’m proud of this event that used VR to introduce students to chemical engineering. It was an engaging experience, and I promise more creative events ahead." Also, the lecture featured a specialized presentation by Eng. Abuzaina, who introduced students to the core applications of this cutting-edge technology.
