EQF-Aligned Micro-Credentials at An-Najah National University

An-Najah National University offers a structured Micro-Credentials Framework aligned with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF), designed to enhance international academic compatibility, employability, and access to flexible lifelong learning pathways.

The framework provides short, credit-bearing, and stackable learning programs that are mapped to clearly defined learning outcomes and referenced to specific EQF levels. This alignment ensures transparency, supports cross-border recognition, and strengthens compatibility with international academic systems, including Erasmus+ mobility schemes and cooperation within the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).

Micro-credentials at An-Najah are designed for students, graduates, and professionals seeking to develop targeted skills in response to evolving labor market needs. The programs typically range between 30 and 50 training hours and follow a competency- based, practice-oriented approach that emphasizes real-world application and measurable learning outcomes.

The framework is developed in line with the principles of the Bologna Process and the 2022 EU Council Recommendation on micro-credentials. It supports lifelong learning by enabling learners to acquire certified skills in a flexible and modular format. Micro credentials may be completed as standalone qualifications or accumulated (stacked) toward higher academic awards, such as diplomas and degrees.

In addition, the framework facilitates Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), allowing learners to build on their existing knowledge and experience. It also responds to emerging trends in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, sustainability, and innovation-driven sectors by offering relevant upskilling and reskilling opportunities.

Through this framework, An-Najah National University promotes a modern, transparent, and internationally aligned model of education that supports both academic progression and professional development.
