To lead in the advancement of IoT innovation, education, and real-world application, transforming An Najah National University into a smart, sustainable, and socially responsive institution empowered by connected technologies.

Mission:

To establish a vibrant and interdisciplinary ecosystem that advances AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things) through research, hands-on training, workshops, smart infrastructure, and community engagement, and prepares students, faculty, and society for the next wave of digital transformation driven by intelligent, connected systems.

Strategic Goals:

  • Enhance IoT Education: Introduce and expand IoT curricula, labs, and certification programs for students and professionals.
  • Promote Applied Research & Innovation: Support interdisciplinary research projects in smart agriculture, AIoT, health tech, and secure systems.
  • Implement Smart Campus Solutions: Deploy IoT-enabled use cases (e.g., smart classrooms, parking, and . ) to enhance campus operations.
  • Foster Industry and Community Engagement: Build partnerships with industry and local communities for skill development, internships, and societal projects.
  • Promote Energy-Efficient Sustainability and Governance: Establish policies that prioritize secure, ethical, and scalable IoT and AIoT deployments while minimizing power consumption, optimizing energy use, and ensuring long-term operational sustainability through responsible resource management and funding support.

 

Key Activities:

1- Education & Training:  

  •  Launch IoT courses and certifications  
  •  Organize workshops on Node-RED, MQTT, and IoT simulators

2- Lab & Prototyping:  

  •  Set up an IoT lab equipped with sensors, development boards, and dashboards
  •  Support student-led prototyping initiatives

3- Smart Campus Projects:

  • Deploy smart sensors in classrooms
  • Implement smart parking systems

4- Develop smart classroom solutions:

  • Introduce crowd management technologies  
  • Launch greenhouse monitoring and automation solutions

 5- Research & Publications:

  • Form thematic research clusters (e.g., AIoT, Smart Health)
  • Publish research findings in national and international conferences

6- Community Outreach:

  • Conduct IoT bootcamps for school students
  • Provide open-access training on IoT simulation tools

7- Partnerships & Funding:

  • Sign Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with IoT companies
  • Apply for national and international research grants

 8- Governance & Policies:

  • Develop policies for IoT security and data governance
  • Regularly monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for projects
